International Warehousing & Transport (IWT), a wholly owned Irish company with offices in Dublin and Rotterdam is a leading provider of European and global logistics services. Founded in 1981 the company is now owned and run by the current Directors following a management buyout of the company in 2003.

IWT is led by dedicated logistics experts who are recognised industry leaders. Founded in Ireland in 1981, the international logistics company provides solutions to multinational producers and distributors of both raw materials and finished goods. The existing leadership team acquired the business in 2003.

IWT’s success is rooted in a deep understanding of international logistics and a visionary approach to continuously improving and designing solutions for customers.

As an independently owned business, IWT enjoys the freedom to be agile. This means that the team can quickly pivot and be flexible to meet the needs of customers who are operating in complex, competitive and time-sensitive environments. Helping our customers in pinch points by seeing efficiencies and being adaptable, is the cornerstone of our business model.

Our industry acumen is built through practical experience and professional training. This knowledge permeates every level of the organisation, from the business owners, to management and to highly qualified logistics professionals. IWT has a well-resourced and structured mentoring programme that ensures knowledge transfer and ongoing training across the business. Each director is responsible for the career progression of a team, from basic training to customer engagement.

The launch of our rail service between Dublin and Ballina in August 2009 was a major achievement for our company. This service offers customers 14 services weekly and is the only container rail service operating out of Dublin Port. This rail freight service is a significant addition to our portfolio of domestic and international services. We plan to develop the growth potential for this and similar services within the existing rail network with a focus on reducing costs, reducing our annual carbon footprint and providing a statistically safer mode of transport.

IWT were delighted to see that our focus on sustainability was recognised in 2023 by the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport with the presentation as overall winner of the Sustainable Supply Chain Award.

Our customer and service focused philosophy as well as our innovative approach to creating efficiencies and savings for customers has allowed us to continue to grow our business over recent years. Our reputation as a progressive logistics innovator was recognised at the 2015 Irish Logistics & Transport Awards where we were awarded the ‘Logistics Company of the Year award’. We were also nominated in the ‘Green Mover’ category. The awards acknowledge the achievements of companies in the practice of Logistics, Transport and Supply Chain Management in Ireland with nominations adjudicated on by a panel of experts from our industry.
